    I agree on the god source of bacteria, which is why I used a skrimp to start my cycle as well. ;D

    I put a frozen shrimp in a media bag and put the bag in the sump last night. I'll test in a few days :)

    How high did you raise your baffle? Been reading your thread because I'm going to be using a 10 gallon as well. :p

    They are both 8 inches tall and I have one raised about an inch. I do have some microbubbles, however, so I added filter floss between the baffles.

    I was initially worried that it wouldn't be enough for my tank, but I've turned down the flow, as from what I've heard, it's good to have a low turnover rate for your return so your skimmer can have more time to filter. I also did this to reduce the amount of micro bubbles. It's really quiet and has been problem free. I would definitely recommend their pumps.

    Well I just got everything tested at my LFS and it's in the middle of cycling. Nitrites are starting to show up. Glad I didn't add anything yet :p
