Thanks! Both corals are still alive, so that's a good sign :)

Thanks! Yep, it's cycled. And yeah I grabbed that piece at the very end of MACNA last year at the MarineGeek booth as they were packing up. I think the rock sculpture should allow corals to be placed anywhere, since it will be viewed from three sides. I think it worked out pretty well :D

Thanks, OFK :) I just picked up a Royal Gramma and a browned out Strawberry Shortcake Acro that I got for a pretty good deal. I would imagine the Acro can color back up with time and care, right? Anyways, I'll get pics tomorrow, since it's lights out time.

I was initially worried about the Royal Gramma because he spent all last night up against the overflow, but now he's hiding in the bottom of the rock work. I am also happy to report that he is eating :) As far as the SSC Acro, it's still brown lol. Nothing new. I barely see any polyp extension, but I'm sure with some stability and care, it should hopefully recover.

give it a little time with the acro. if it has a good environment it will come back. I recently had a frag of cyphastrea go from brown (I honestly thought it was dead) to bright green in a few weeks. it now looks better than when I originally bought it. Good to hear about the gramma:) maybe it will be less shy when it has time to explore its environment. Where are the pics?!?

Thanks. I'll just give it some higher light and flow and see how it does. And I know, I know. The Gramma is constantly in hiding and the Acro's not much to look at haha. I'll get pics once the Gramma comes out of hiding.

Well I haven't been able to find my camera, but I'll keep looking ::)

So the Royal Gramma (I need to come up with a name for him) has been coming out more and more every day. He has been eating Rod's Food Original since the day after I put him in the tank. No signs of stress, nor has he tried to jump, so I think it's a good sign :p

I originally was going to make this tank SPS dominated, but after adding the Wellso and Duncan, I changed my mind. I added a purlpe photosynthetic Gorgonian as well. Both LPS and the Gorgonian are completely opened up and show no signs of bleaching or stress. The Strawberry Shortcake is still brown, but there hasn't been any tissue loss or bleaching, so I'll continue to monitor it.
