We're going to be renovating the room that the tank is going in, so it should be in place within the next few weeks. Then we start ordering parts for the tank!

That's awesome cam! I love reef savy tanks. Living reef sells those. You need to come to my area bud, I have a great place for you to check out.

So what would be a good return pump for this tank? The whole setup is a little under 5 feet tall in total. I heard some comments about the Sicce Syncra pumps, but I was getting mixed reviews as to what size I should get. The sump is only 10 gallons, so I don't want too much flow going through it. I'm getting a Jebao WP25 for flow in the DT. Would the Syncra 1.0 work?

It's not that I didn't believe you. It's just that someone said it would be too much flow for a 10 gallon. I was also told by someone to get the 0.5 or 1.0, and Sicce said to get the 2.0. The 2.0 is just a bit expensive for me. I'll get the 1.5 ;)

Cam, I'm so glad to see you are starting a new tank. I know what kind of struggles you had with the other one......

Painting and redoing the floor starting today. Hopefully we'll be done by tomorrow. I'll probably order my return pump this weekend as well.

So as far as the sump goes, I've been looking online and noticed that a lot of people are able to run theirs without having to install baffles. The only problem I've heard is evaporation. I'm installing a gravity fed ATO, so I should be fine, right? I'll also install a filter sock.
