I'm starting to think that this is a war that can't be won. I may just sell off the livestock and get new rock and sand.

Are there any pieces of live rock that you can salvage that don't have the calerpa on it? If you use some existing live rock and a bit of your sand - I'm not sure you would need ammonia, you can add some bacteria starter - I know a lot of people say to look at Dr. Tim's products (one and only I think) or there's microbacter 7 (I've used this to help stimulate my existing bacteria when I removed a bunch of live rock) and really liked the results....if you don't see the cycle starting or moving ....then maybe add in a piece of shrimp or something. What are you going to do with your existing coral? That would be three separate things going on if you take this route (tank for your live stock, bin with new rock and sand, and existing tank) right? I wish others would chime in here for you because I'm limited on my knowledge base of what you're trying to do.....

Well the Caulerpa is just over everything now, including all of the live rock and sand, as well as the walls of the tank. I'm thinking my best option would be to sell off my livestock and start from scratch with new dry rock and sand :-/

So how much do y'all think I could sell my tank for, if I were to sell it the way it is or if I dry out the rock?

If you were close to me cam, I would take your rock and throw it in my sump and give you enough rock to restart your tank or throw your rock in my tank for a week. It would be algae free in no time. My scribbled rabbit really loves the stuff.
