I also feel quite lucky that a friend at my school works at one of my LFS's. He's the one that gave me the good deal on the Cyphastrea :)

Also, it wasn't encrusting when I bought it, so that's all new growth :) It didn't grow before the crash, and it's one of the only survivors of the crash.

Oh ok, I didn't know you weren't planning on fish period. There are plenty that will be fine with them though :)

That's weird that your Duncan hasn't grown any new heads yet. I wonder if it doesn't like the amount of flow? Mine gets moderate/low flow in the 28 nano and seems to love it.

And that's a great deal on the MS! Good to see it growing to. If the conditions are right, it should grow like weeds :)

Yeah. I don't really want to add any fish to the tank. I think it's one of the main reasons why I had the crash in the first place.

I would say that the Duncan gets moderate flow. I find it very strange how it looks great and acts normal but just doesn't grow

And I'm glad I got such a good deal on the MS!

The same LFS is having an end of the year sale (2 for $5 frags, 2 for $10 frags, 2 for $20 dollar frags, 20% percent off colonies and fish, a raffle ticket for every $20 spent with awesome prizes) today and tomorrow. I will try my best to go today :D

Do you guys know if Milleporas have similar requirements as Pocilloporas? I might pick one up if they have any in stock.

Milli's are a little bit more finicky. They are more sensitive to ph swings as well as temp swings.

Okay. So besides Birdsnests, what would have similar requirements to Pocilloporas?

I love my LFS :) I got a bunch of different types of Mushrooms and Palys, and they even threw in two Astraea snils, all for $25.

One of my favs is montipora digitata if you are wanting stuff that goes vertical. You can always do an encrusting monti or plating monti. Not sure if you have any of those.

I used to have a Monti Cap and Setosa, but they died when the tank crashed. I didn't see any Monti's at the LFS today, but I'll keep an eye out ;)
