I was inspired by brandon429's reefbowl, so I decided to try a tank like his, only smaller :) I stopped by Pier 1 Imports for a cheap wine glass yesterday. I then put some new sand, a little piece of live rock, and some tank water in it. I'm going to be using the Zetlight that I won, at least for now. I then grabbed an old Elite 799 air pump and got a foot of airline tubing. I then used super glue gel and glued the tubing so that the end was about a half an inch into the water. I ended up doing a really sloppy job, but it works. (Does anyone know an easy way to get super glue gel off of your hands?)

Here are some pics so far (I don't have my camera right now, so I had to use my iPod camera. Excuse the bad quality)

The light set up is kind of ghetto. I will most likely build something to hold it.

Here is the air pump that I'm using.

I'm debating between a Gem and Achilles. Maybe a Leopard Grouper instead? lol :D

    And thanks!

On top of that, how about a Clown Triggerfish? Not too much of a bioload, right?

I'm not sure if he was being serious or not. I know that you have to be really precise with pico tanks, though.

Well i would use a syringe for water changes, 20ml is probably good. this way you get an exact measurement. I think top off will be somewhat tough to maintain. I was serious, its the only way to truly be accurate with changing water out.
