    Not much, it'd have to be able to deal with potentially dramatic changes in the tank.

    +1 I would not risk putting any unique corals in there. If anything, I would just frag some corals you already have to see if it will even survive before you spend any money.

    try some normal zoas and if you get those down no problem step up to a more exotic zoa, if they start to look bad pull em out and put them in the normal tank.

    Mushrooms: the cockroaches of the reef

    Doubt you'll be able to kill those with the parameter swings it's sure to see.

    Very cool idea, I'm curious to see how this (tank) does. I'd be worried about salinity swings, ect...

    Have you seen what temp its running at yet? I use infrared thermometer to pinpoint temp in my tank, this can be useful & cheap to monitor temp.
