I have a brain which is receding and is about 1/2 gone now.. Its kinda spewing this clear/white slime from it which I believe is the actual coral dying. It was damaged during transport and never got better. Should I remove it or would it harm my other corals with the "stuff" coming off of it?
    Confused..

I would remove it, the stuff its spewing is not good for the other corals.

    Hi Bama

if your 100% sure its dying, sounds like a good plan

but if your not 100% sure put a photo up in the ASAP section and get some confirmations on the condition of the coral .It might be obvious, but just in case

also are you running carbon ? as that will help with removing any potential problems

+1 on the carbon, dont worry so much about turning the skimmer up, but up teh carbon for a day. Also a pic would be cool, it might just be really mad haha corals are like lil kids and can get in moods lol but yea if its dieing take it out

I can get a pic later. I am pretty sure its dying. It has just gotten worse and worse over the period of a week.. Only the exoskeleton is showing on about half of it..

I actually dont have carbon running right now, and I cant get any until tomorrow morning..

the other corals seem to be fine.. I just dont want things to go south.. Also I had my tang die today which isnt good.. I tested my levels and everything was fine. I Guess I just get to keep the exo to put back in later after everything dies off of it..
