can a frogspawn spoil my tank if it dies?

I have heard that anenome can spoil your tank if they die can a frogspawn spoil my tank if it die?

Depends on the size of the tank, filtration and such.

If it is a slow decline than no most likely not.

 

My tank is a 120 gallons with a 30 gallon sump. I just bought a frogspawn and its not dying but I was curious in case it does die. Thanks for the reply

 

It shouldn't unless its a huge frogspawn and your tank is newly set up.

 

Really just depends on a few things, if you see your tank everyday and it is in slow decline then you will be able to remove it before it should do any damage. I had a huge 15 head frogspawn at one point and i was on vacation and it died over that time and i didnt obviously and it kinda screwed up tank somewhat.

Just keep on eye on it if it isnt doing well.

 

if you have good filtration, i wouldn't expect a dead frogspawn to have a significant effect on a tank that size.

 

A dying frogspawn wont do as much as a medium sized dying fish. It's mostly skeleton.
