Can anyone ID this...

    Is this a "mushroom" I bought it at LFS for 15.00 as a frag, the rock it was attached to had another baby one also which has since detached and found a new home in the display...this one seems to still be "attached" - its brownish in color and about 4" wide.

    it is a St Thomas Bubble Mushroom

    Cool thanks! yup thats it, did some searching.. I didnt know they also come in blue and red.... pretty sweet looking critter. Like the fact also that got a freebie along with him from the LFS. :)

    May have to see if anyone wants to trade the baby one for a frag

    if you have good light, T-5 it should color-up really nice I think that is actually a red and green st thomas... just guessing.

    Could also be a frilly mushroom that isn't completely opened

    I hae a few exactly like it...the names above...cool shrooms they look neat under the moonlights....

    It gets bigger and bigger, starting to see some red come into it around the edges, its probably 5 inches open now, the smaller baby one that was on the rock it was on found a spot in the corner and its about 2 inches... pretty cool find.
