Hey guys this is my first forum post on 3reef, I have an 8 gallon nano reef on the go (my first saltwater) and I have a bunch of sps(i think?) that I can get to stay put or "root" I have 3 types of zoos that are staying in place but not "rooting" to the rocks I also recently purchased 2 other soft corals ( I cant remember the names) they both look almost like grass when the polyps are opened, now the problem I'm having is the one I want to grow on the rear glass just wont stay in place, partially due to my hermits constantly picking at it, which to me is weird because they leave all the others alone! is there anyway besides crazy glue to get them to take root quickly? I also have what I believe is a Xenia and a kenya tree, a candy cane, and a frag with about 7 green mushrooms on it. any help is greatly appreciated guys I'm a total noob to this. The first 2 pictures show the 2 "grass-like" corals an ID and way to afix them would help! the last is just a tank shot if you need better pictures let me know I just need help

No pictures were uploaded that I can see :-(

Gluing frags is a major P.I.T.A IME. Try draining out some of the water before you glue them to the back glass

I see no SPS ( small polyp stoney) but I do see an LPS ( large polyp stoney) name Trumpet coral or Candy cane. I do see some shrooms and zoas, also some paylys. If it's green and looks like grass it's most likely green star polyps.
Stoney corals will not take root. You will need to super glue *gel* them into place. You must use the *gel* type glue.
With the gel glue you will not need to remove any water. Just remove the coral, add glue to the base and hold in place for about a minute.

so if I want to glue the "grass" to the glass I dont need to drain water or anything? just dry the polyp out for a few minutes to put gel crazy glue on it and then just hold it on the glass??

Don't dry them off you will kill it. The super glue gel will stick wet.
