Can i add a mandarin now?

    they take that long to make enough generations to really spread the population growth across the larger tank... before a super predator (mandarin) starts chowing down.


    that's not to say you can't farm them separately or in your fuge...

    I think basically you can add it now but it's riskier, why not just wait a little longer and be more sure that you'll be able to support it?

    Nothing good happens fast, go read a book about mandarins or something while you wait. :)

    wait until the pod population is stable. it will spike with diatom growth, but then subside if you can't keep them fed.

    just cause you have to wait for that doesnt mean you cant get other fish!!! gotta love the hobby man. feels like the whole world is open to ya!!!

    lol i already have 16 fishes in my 190, but only 2 get large ( yellow and powder brown tang ) , others range from 3 to 6 inches, can i still add fishes or am i at full capacity? ;D

    im not the best at following rules about keeping too many fish in one tank. 16 does sound like a lot. but 190 is very large. hhhhhhmmmmmm im usually better at telling people how ot stock 30 to 75 gallon tanks not a monster like yours. if we could get oceanparadise on here i know he can help you. he has a 180 himself and it always seem like hees adding more fish to it.
