With yellow tangs its not so much about how big they get, its the fact that they need lots of room to swim. Like said before a long tank. A cube tanks is just not suited for them. Hey maybe be doing okay, but there is a deference between surviving and thriving. Just a thought. As for coral I love Zoa's so I say you cant go wrong adding them. :)

cool sounds good, hope you find him a nice home. don't get me wrong my blue hippo is in a 55g right now so I'll have to upgrade soon or trade him back in when the time comes also

I'm on the lookout for blue zoa's if you can find those they are frickin sweeeet but I can't find any! Here's some blue hornets:

Here are some coral that will spread eventually to cover an area. They are all pretty easy to take care of as well.

    Favia/Favites/Goniastrea
    Acanthastrea
    Zoanthids/Palythoa
Any of the "chalices" like Echinophyllia, Echinopora, Oxypora etc
There are encrusting montipora species as well you just want to make sure you have enough light for them.

Be careful of some of the encrusting soft coral like green star polyps, xenia, and anthelia because they can really spread like crazy take over a good portion of the tank if they are thriving.

Good luck on finding the tang a suitable home. I know you want it to have an appropriate home. K+ for ensuring it.

I don't like these quite as much as the ones you posted but still pretty cool. They have a handful of other blue zoas as well.

Whats in the 110 gallon reef tank that will murder a yellow tang? Just kind of curious cuz if you wanted to keep the tang that would be a really good sized tank for it.

We put yellow tangs in the tank before and they never seemed to survive...
