can I do this with a mushroom?

Back in December, a friend kicked me off with several frags from his tank.

One of these was a mushroom (about pencil eraser size, no bigger) rubber banded to a little round flat plug thing. Whatever those are called. An emerald crab decided it wanted to mess with them and ended up knocking the mushroom into my current where I promptly lost it.

So I figured my filter would probably get it, but if it didn't I was sure it would end up somewhere I wouldn't want it. . .

Well a few days ago, in a rather hard to see area, I believe I have discovered it laying flat on the substrate (CC). It hasn't moved and I figured I could just let it connect in much the same way I'm letting my Colt connect to the substrate. Give it a week and then pick it up with its now crusty bottom and glue it where I want it.

Is that a good idea? I don't see a problem with it, but it's experimenting for me so I want to run it by you.

No chance of pics - until I move it ;)

Oh, it's hard to discern, but best I can tell, it's probably nickel - quarter sized now...

I'd glue it to a piece of rock now, since you can see it/get to it. You can get ito it, right? Make sure you dip the shroom, after you've glued it, into some of the tank water in a bowl to cool off the glue. Superglue will heat up and the heat can harm corals.

yes you can glue it just like you have stated and if its bin lying on the bottom a week or 2 it is probably all ready attached it self to your cc and ready for gluing.

Thanks y'all. I've only been aware of it here for a few days, I plan on letting it sit there a full week as far as I'm aware of it, ya know? I'm going to glue it to a rock when I pull the sword out of my colt!

I can get to it if I take my lights down :( but they're on little kick stands so I just have to lift it - not too much work.

I can barely see it - I'm not even 100% sure it's the mushroom. About 80% I guess.

Pics will have to wait till I get it moved. Probably Sunday.

    But definitely coming!

Since when do people glue slimy mushrooms.Put it in some kind of container with holes punched all over, add crushed coral, add shroom(s)cover with bridal veil.Wait a few weeks, glue attached shroom where you want.

are you sure it's not attached already? might be worth it to go in there and see what it is/if it is on something.
