I'm not sure, no. I try to keep my hands out of there - I am planning on taking a sword out of a colt I'm letting attach to the substrate on Sunday, so I figured I could just do it then - at which point it will be a confirmed week too boot.

some of my mushrooms move around the tank and find a spot on there own. I thought I lost a mushroom once and noticed it 3 months later while moving some rocks around. Life finds a way. Good luck

Note: I tried to glue the shroom originally - before I rubberbanded it. It held for about 2 days then came off and I was lucky enough to find the shroom and that's when I rubber banded it.

Then the crab pulled it from under the rubber band and I lost it for a few weeks.

That's what brings us to the beginning of this thread. So I want it to connect to something (substrate) so I can glue it more effectively. I'll only glue this one, if it spawns and those want to move - I'll let them (to a point). I just want to play Poseidon and dictate where the colony starts ;)

I just wanted to give the background so you'll know what I've already tried.

So I've been watching it on the substrate waiting for it to connect. Well it moved yesterday and it's not connected to anything (so I can't glue it).

So this brings me to my new question. Can I use a plastic sword pick to stick it to the substrate like a Colt? Then when it connects I'll try glueing again. I'm thinking I can. I don't want to use the lace/veil technique (bc I have a sword pick, but I don't have any veil ;))

I guess you could try the plastic pick method,i tried with zenia once. They just worked off the plastic toothpick.I have used the bridal veil (dirt cheap at a sewing, material, place) a few times,it always works. Then it's too easy to place it where you want, with a bit of glue, putty.I tried glue a few times, they always got away after a day or two.and i don't want them, where they decide to land.I have a lot of acros, hense strong flow.

Did you glue them under water? I always pull my corals out of the water, put a dab of gel super glue on them then let them sit for 10-15 minutes before I put them back in the water. Give the glue plenty of time to set up. Just a thought... good luck!
