    hi, i have a nanocube 12gdx and a biocube 14g

the nanocube is my own tank that is cycled with rocks a clown fish, a blue damsel, a coral banded shrimp, 1 turbo snail and 3 hermit. my friend is moving away for college and he gave me his biocube 14g, there are a couple frags of leather polyp, yellow polyp and trumpet coral, a clown fish and a reef lobster. i want to add some rocks to the biocube so i can put the clown fishes together in the 14g biocube.

any suggestions on how i can do this?
i do have a rubbermaid trashcan full of rocks and sand from a 72g bowfront i took down 5 months ago.

    thanks!

doesnt sound like a lot of room for clowns they might start to fight and clowns that hae been alone for to long will be female and unable to turn back male so there might be fighting w/o a chance of pairing but if u wanted to give it a try i would get at least 30g

Now. but as they grow, one will pick on the other in such a small tank. either killing or making it jump out. could b l8r today, next week or in 2 months, but itl probably happen!

Unless they're the same species of clown, they're very likely to fight. They're in too small of a space together.

Even if they are the same species, you're risking it, depending again on species, due to size concerns in a 14G BC. What kind of clowns are these?

2 days is not a lot of time . i promise 14g is not enough room for 2 clowns and u will run into a bunch of problems down the line like nitrates and co2
, what kind of clowns are they?

what would be the minimum for a pair of clowns?

they look to be same pieces, they look almost identical except that one is smaller

WHICH species? Percula? Occelaris? Maroon? Clarkii?

You're more likely to run into problems with clowns other than occelaris and percs. Those two will be likely to pair up, especially since you said that one is slightly smaller.

I'd be more worried about potential growth and size issues at this point, not them fighting, since they're the same species. So, what species are they?

i think occelaris, but i am not 100% sure,
it is just the "normal" clown, not maroon, or black or clarkii
i will post a pic when i get home
