ok i have a red monti that i love and just got some cyanoacrylic glue. so i really want to frag this sucker!! heres a pic for size reference. it has grown about .5 cm in the last few weeks. looks brown in the pic but its really a maroon color under a bluer light and lava orange under a whiter light.

I agree, IMO, it's still a little small, but you can frag it still if you want to. I have found that the smaller the coral, the more likely the frag or mother colony will have issues.

i think it's big enough, what do you need gloves for?

i could understand with zoas... but monti's? maybe something i don't know about.

frag away... just break off a piece, and ur G2G, monti's are hardy.
