I have a 20 gallon long tank that is cycling as we speak. I'm giving it plenty of time to do its thing, but i'm getting tired of looking at rocks and sand lol. Could I get a small hermit crab to look at for a while while it is cycling? I have sinking pellets for crabs that I could feed him if it gets hungry. Also, would the water be ok for it? I'm not sure how hardy hermit crabs are. Thanks for all the help guys! :D

Inverts aren't very hardy when it comes to raised levels of the big three. It probably wouldn't make it.

Also, even if something is hardy enough to survive does not mean it isn't suffering. If you want to speed your cycle, get some Microbacter7 or Dr. Tim's One and Only to seed your tank. But wait til the cycle is complete before adding livestock.

Patience is necessary in this hobby, best time to practice it is during the cycle!

Verry well said, I'll wait until my tank is good and cycled. Thanks for the advice. :)
