I have a biocube 29, I know that is to small for a mandarin. But if I add this CPR AquaFuge 2 Hang-on Refugium

its about 3 gallons, full of cheato w/ copods, sand, etc. Will this be enough to keep a good copods supply to keep him living good?
    Thanks
    Vinny

How old is your tank? What else is in your tank? If the tank isnot established with pods already then adding thefuge and the mandy at the same time wont work.

My tank is about 6 or 7 months old. It has some pods. But I would add the fuge and let it establish a good population before I added the fish. Probably wait a month or so.
Right now I have a lawnmower blenny, two clowns, and a coral beauty. Some snails and shrimp too.

how much live rock do u have and if ur gunna try having one i would go with a much bigger refugium like a ten to twenty gallon and have a pump going into the refugium and have an overflow going back to your tank.

i would wait till your tank is atleast 1 and a half years old till you get a mandarin . and the sooner you add the fuge the better. i no its not what you wanted to hear but the mandarin will starve unless you wait

I will see what I can do, it is very good rock very porous. I can add some more rubble to my 2nd chamber.

ya thats the other thing that you can do is make rubble piles in your tank and also try to start a POD farm. Peredhil has a good thread on how to make one and if you do it effectivley enough it will help your mandarin situation out alot
