You normally have to have the tank running for around 6 months to a year until you add one because they like stable parameters and the tank is normally stable around that time.

As far as lighting goes, what type of Anemone were you planning on getting?

Everyone is going to tell you no, but in my personal opinion if your water params are stable, and the tank is maturing (Coraline growth) Then go for it.

    Your lighting should be fine.

I'm sure he could add it in right away but I'm just saying that letting the tank mature a little longer will help with the overall health of the Anemone and will cause less worry with the tank owner.

a fluroscent light will not be enough to sustain an anemone of any kind. At the VERY LEAST should be T5HO.

    T5HO are fluorescent.;)

Minajaguar it would be nice to know the exact fixture and type of fluorescent you have along with how many bulbs.

I was thinking the power compacts also Mel. If Mina is using enough bulbs an RBTA could do OK underneath them. I was able to keep Porites underneath PC bulbs and had nice growth.
