Can I get some advice with what lights I should upgrade to T-5 style? So confused!

You could do like ermano and get the 36" fixture and deal with the overhang:

Or what about getting some kind of shelving unit that straddles the tank and hanging the light from that. Added bonus storage!

For that matter hanging the fixture is not that big of a deal anyway. Do you have pictures hanging on your wall with some type of anchor device? Same situation ...

 

What makes the Tek lights better than the Nova? Would the Nova be enough to try SPS and clams or not? I would want to replace the bulbs with some Geisman and ATI thats possible correct?

 

I have posters with frames hanging on the with strips that you can just pull off you know? No actually holes in the walls.

With the Tek this would be unnecessary because you could get the lamps you want from the get-go. That right there would save you $100 getting the Tek over the Nova.

 

I can see what you are saying. Also if I get the 36" I can get the 6 bulb fixture and if I plan on upgrading my tank. I'm just not sure how "nice" it will look hanging over. lol

Reefgeek.com I got mine with any bulbs I wanted and it was the 36" 6 bulb for 379.99 w/ free shipping.

 

Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, the Tek tank mounting bracket attaches to the end of the fixture and would not allow you to "choke up" for a shorter tank.
