    I have a few questions.
I have a 10- gallon nano, would I be able to support a sand-sifting starfish?
If the sand gets clean I will put some food on the bottom to supplement its diet.

I also would like a blue or red linkia.
    How do care for them?

i would say your tanks too small to keep a sand sifter in. they can get quite large also. the linkia are a tough star to keep also. with it being a smaller tank again, the params have to be kept very stable , which can be a challenge sometimes. sorry to be so negative.

According to liveaquaria they can grow up to a foot across. But I personally don't know anything about them

In that tank you should stick with a serpent star. Linkia will die and that's it. There are many animal's that truly should be left in the ocean. The linkia is one of them. Good luck

Its still not known what Linkias realy eat for sure, But most tend to think its the bacterial jelly or some type of microbe or bacterium ? In a 10 you will be fine with a sand sifting star if you get a smaller one But if you are depending on a DSB for filtration then its not a good idea to add one..

I just have enough sand to cover the bottom, and to look good.
The main part o my filtration is my fuge, with about 30 mangroves, and a lot of cheato.
