Can I keep a zebra lionfish in a 45 reef?

I just recently found out about this species of lionfish. I have always wanted a lionfish. Do you think if I keep him well fed he will be alright? My other fish will probably be a fox face, and a diamond goby. My corals will be mixed but im thinking mostly sps. Any input would be great!;D

dude i have been there before. they are amazing but i couldnt keep one alive for the life of me. i think my problem was that i didnt feed enough and i had it in too small of an aquarium. go for it in you 46. they can reach up to 9 inches though so be careful what you put in there with it long term.

The problem with keeping them alive is it's near impossible to grow prairy grass in an aquarium

Im sorry it was a half joke, but im almost finished with my 45 gallon build. I was really woundering if these guys are reef safe or not, from what i've read they seem alright? I would hate for him to eat a pistol shrimp or something. Is their a way I can get a custom cuc for this fish? It's a really beautiful fish. Update on the build, I have 3 tanks drilled. 45DT, 20 Fuge, 20 Sump. They will all be connected, I have an ro/di 5 stage from BRS, I also have a 250 watt MH hanging from the ceiling. I have the 2 part from BRS. I just made about 40 lbs of base rock that is cooking with my 20 gallon rock right now. Its sitting in a 55 right now and I must say it looks great. Would you guys wana see pics? By the way I havent turned the bulb on yet, I still need to get a ballast I can't wait to see this bulb burn, it's a monster. I need to get a Mag 9 still, a float switch, and a dosing pump and i'll be up and running sorry for writing so much.
