SO I was looking at BRS at their phosphate/carbon reactor and it seems it looks very similar to my RO unit. I am planning on getting a new RO/DI soon (prob from spectrapure) and was wondering if I could convert my current Coralife RO unit into a dual reactor if I got the 10" media cartridges, some corresponding media, and a small pump?

You probably could. You might want to change the fittings to a larger size, though.

Sure you can, it would be easy enough, especially with the old RO unit.

Carbon needs to be changed every 2 weeks, but GFO can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on how much phosphate it pulls out.
