how much heat are you dealing with? A simpler solution than messing with your pumps would be to point a fan at the surface of the water. This would drop the temp but increase evaporation.

Another thought....if a pump is seriously creating enough heat to be called "overheating" then maybe it just needs to be replaced with a better pump.

You have made several posts about this issue.
What size system, what brand and size powerheads, what is the room temperature and what is the tank temperature?
Do you have any fans for evaporative cooling? Do you have glass tops or a lid that can be removed or opened?
Are you sure it is the powerheads and pumps and not a heater or other issue?

A simple fan works wonders as does an open top system.

I cutoff the heater completely .. and there is no heat source than 2 pumps and 2 flourescent lamps above water by 12 cm ... i have normal MADE IN CHINA water pumps ...
my tank with plastic cover come with it ... so i can't keep it open and have to place to hang cooling fans inside ... if i can put fans outside ???

Fans cool by evaporation so they need to be pointed towards the water surface to work best. Does the hood have a lid that can be propped open or a removable piece in back when a HOB filter would be placed? You need to let heat escape somewhere.
Many pumps such as Maxijet powerheads are not very efficient and creat quite a bit of heat in a small closed environment. For instance an old MJ1200 (292 GPH)at 23 watts versus a Hydor Evolutions 1400 (1400 GPH) at 5-6 watts, much more flow for about 1/4 the power consumption and heat generation. It might be worth replacing the stock pumps with something more efficient.

..ok.....a couple more questions that may be relevant..
Where are you? geographically..what is the temperature in your location...and inside the area/room where this tank resides....as AZdesertRat requested.
...and one more...what is the temperature of your tank? how "hot" is hot as you are reading it?...also, have you checked these pumps(as stated above)...actually grab them with your hands while they are running in the water..they should not be "hot"...and in my experience...they should not even be warm...if they feel warmer than the water..that could be an issue....But I would like to know what kind of temp you have in the tank and in your location..and how many degrees this issue is trying to reduce.
...every little bit helps. : )

Agree as well with AZ and LG,my mj1200 pump I use for mixing up saltwater in a 5 gal bucket is an old one thats been wearing out for sometime now (why it's no longer in any of my tanks) but I don't use a heater for mixing the water as the pump heats the water in the bucket well into the mid 80 deg range,I have to unplug and wait for the water to cool to temp before doing a wc.So i'm wondering if you just have a bad or poorly designed pump causing excess heat build up.

yup...I just added a bigger skimmer with "in sump" pump...turned the heater down a notch last night...another motor in the water IS relative. : )
But still...what are your conditions..that would help a bunch..tank size..environment temp..and tank temp..is the tank temp swinging high and low..or is it just going higher and higher...or just....
