Clowns are odd, there's no hard and fast rules, and there are a lot of things that seem to work when they fight (re-aquascaping being one). My suggestion would be don't, but if you do monitor carefully and add at the same time. Make sure there's options for them to nest away from each other which prevents roaming and fighting.

Hmm, that sounds like my tank, almost...

    I have a 62' x 24" tall x 30" wide 193g under construction, and ready to get a water test in about a week.

I agree with the re-aquascaping. That is the only way I ever got mine to stop fighting

The tank had it a couple times when adding fish. I had never lost a fish with an ich out break until I added my shoal tang, a powder blue and an emperor angel. I lost all three new fish and the 2 clowns. I could only treat with kick ich whick was useless and tried to catch fish to qt but only could get the angel out. I have corals in the tank so I couldent do much fro treating. My tank dimensions are 72x24x30

    guys bad news!

i added a claarki clownfish to my tank today , and the female maroon chased it like no tomorrow! i thought it would be fine because i have a pair of maroons and a pair of saddlebacks in my tank and the female doesn't bother the saddlebacks.. but now.. is there a possibility that the maroon will tame down? or is it 100% fight to the death?

it's gonna be hard removing the new fish, unless of course it's dead

you can see the claarki hiding behind the rocks!
