Kind of a silly question and i should know the answer, just wanting a couple other opinions to be sure.

I have a 4 bulb t5 with 2 10k and 2 atinics.Theres two ballast, each ballast runs two bulbs each.I have only softies and a couple lps that would do fine under a little lower lighting.

I want to remove 1 10k daylight for a more bluer look. The fixture is fairly new still,so i don't want to buy different bulbs for it yet,but will removing a bulb overdrive the other?Would it do any harm to the ballast or the other bulb?

I was under the impression you shouldn't remove just one bulb, either two or none. Will the ballast even light up just one bulb or do you need two to complete a circuit? lol. Shows my experience with T-5s.

I ran a T5HO with one bulb missing for a while (bulb got broken and I couldn't replace it right away). I saw no difference in the remaining bulb, and experienced no problems.

good question, without a schematic or tearing the fixture apart,i have no idea if they are wired in a series or parallel circuit. If parallel, one bulb would still run.But i don't know what harm if any this would cause.

If it lets you run one bulb then there should be no harm. Also you should be able to rewire the ballast to run one bulb.
