I buy water from my LFS and I only get as much as I need for water changes or top offs. Can I get more than I need and safely store in a sealed container at room temperature for later use?

I keep a couple 5 gallon jugs full of water, with no ill effects.

Hey over there across the bridge! :) I think I recognize your avatar. It looks like Clearwater Beach, did I guess right?

I rotate between two different stores depending on what part of town I'm running errands in. All About Aquariums in Largo and Pet Mart (not to be confused with Pets Mart) in St. Pete.

Excellent, thanks! I'll check on those.

A good guy to buy from is Paul at Westside Pet Shop down on South Dale Mabry if you are on this side of the bridge. He gets all sorts of cool stuff in, gorgonians, starfish, sponges of all sorts, etc. His prices are very good, and he has connections with divers and stuff if you want to make requests. He can also do custom setups / acrylic work for you for a great price. Creative Aquariums is down the road and they have a lot of corals, but are expensive.

I store ro for a week or so. I figure the colder the better. Then I warm it up a day or so before I use it.

Just keep it sealed and it will keep for months if it is out of sunlight.
