yeah itll work but gonna cost alot..maybe try and go to your grocery store, most of them have a glacier rodi water machine outside, thats what i use..25 cents a gallon..goes through 7 stage rodi filtration and 2 ultraviolet filters..

The only problem with store bought water is that you do not know how often they change the filters. It could be going through the 5 to 7 filter stages but if they are all 2 years old it may not be creating 0 TDS water....

When I switched from store bought water to my own RODI system (with a TDS meter) I no longer had algae problems. To me, it is an essential tool for reef keeping. JMTC:-/

on the glacier machines, it tells you when it was last serviced and one day i asked the guy servicing it said that it only resets when he puts a new filter in it..usually every 2 weeks the one by my house gets serviced..i always check anything going into my tank, and it has always read 0...he also said that it wont service you water if it nots reading 0 tds...this is just for the glacier machines, dont know about any others..

I have heard people say that the salinity is all over the place, .022 - .028 I suggest you test it before you use it. Aside from that, if you don;t mind paying sounds like you are all set for now
