Can I use this knife underwater to frag?

    I want to use this knife in my tank to frag some zoos attached to a rock. I have seen it used outside of a tank but I cant take the rock out of my tank

    Yes, as long as it has never been used on something that may cause an issue in your tank. Be sure to clean/dry well.

    I'd probably give it a good rinse and start chopping. What are you fragging?

    I'd probably steam it for a bit to make sure no contaminants are on it from the factory but that's just me. I'm paranoid like that.

    Agreed

    If you haven't fragged Zoanthids before please research it. Zoanthids can be highly dangerous if the proper precautions are not taken. Wear gloves and safety goggles and be sure to wash your hands very well when you are done before touching any other part of your body.

    Xacto knife. You are going to want to clean it very well first. The blades have some type of oil on them so they don't rust. Also in salt water it will rust very fast, you are going to want to clean the saltwater off very well afterwards. Not just drying it off you are going to want to wash it in fresh water then dry it really well.

    Remember to unscrew the top and make sure the slot where the blade goes is rinsed and dry after use.

    I'm in the same boat there is no way I am touching my live rock again, EVER! Let us know how its goes because I will be attempting soon myself.
