    Depending on what you are trying to light, it may have enough output to do the job...but it has a very low K temp/color. It will make your tank look very yellow.

    i guess its not the same par38 that was a prize the site had a contest for,,lol.i just thought id be able to up my lighting a bit.no sense i guess if it is not going to benifit my corals.i uploaded a pic that is with the par38 on,,and 1 without.yes it does make it look a bit yellow,but being 8 inches above the tank it does give a shimmering effect,,shadows ect,sort of looks ok?
