My LFS just adapted 3 of his tanks with Radion modules several months ago. I asked him what he thinks and he said so far they're not much different from MH's (with kind of an unhappy demeanor) so then I said "That's good right? You don't have to buy new bulbs every year, you just cut your E-bill by 200%, All your corals are happy, and you can program it to mimmic the natural rise and fall of the sun....." He says "Hell yeah it's good!!! I love these things" So I asked What's wrong then? He said "You know how hard it's going to be try and convince people that they will actually save money by spending $700.00 ?"

I saw Matt posted a thread on these so I won't go into detail, instead I'll just let everybody link here.......(click me)

I'm pretty well sold on LED's right now but I'm hit with the same reality as everyone else, that I'll have to save up the cash for a while to buy them. But it will pay off in the long run.

Ok, I hate to bring this tread back up but, I'm really thinking of a solderless kit from rapid thinking of 2 of the 24 led kits... I have done some pc building in the pass and from the looks of it, it seem to be pretty easy. Now I was wanting some advise on bulb color combos, heatsink where to get a heatsink. I have a 90 gallon 4 footer I was thinking of 60 degree lens. any ideas? The reason I want to go with led is the t5 fixture I was wanting is like $800 without bulbs... biocube where you at? lol...

Are boost leds controllable? I don't see anything about it... So, I assume no. I will be using a reef keeper to control the lights. I don't think I put that in my post.

all DIY leds are controllable with the right driver! They sell a typhon controller for there kits which control a meanwell P driver! I'd shoot them and rapid and email, I'm sure they'll help ya out! I just bought a rapidled kit and the typhon controller from boost! Both guys seem great!
