    Hey Everyone,

Right now I have a in wall 120 in my family room on the first floor. In the next year or so I was considering finishing my basement and doing an inwall 300 or something like that. My question is could I plumb the two tanks together so the water would flow through both tanks. If I could do this I'm thinking my total system would be up over 500 gallons with sump/Refugium. Easier to keep stable I would think. Right now I am just in the "dreaming" stage but am just wondering what everyone thought about it being done.

Hmm sounds like a funn little adenture there... hmm Just off hand i think it could be done... By haveing one return pump going to your 120gal upstairs, the drain from your 120gal goin to your 300gal... then 300 gal drain to your filter system.... then return pump and continue the cycle...

Or another idea is still one return pump goin to both tanks and both tanks draining to your filter system.. just have to adjust flow to one or both tanks on the return side...

Keep mind i am not a expert but sounds like it may work...

    Good Luck..!!

I was just concerned with the flow back down to the larger tank.. and emptying the top tank if something goes wrong.
