Seems like I can't keep any fish alive in my tank since I've added my pair of clown fish. Befor the clown I added a chromis and he seems to be doing good, all other fish seem to die a few weeks after added to tank. And for my peremeters are all good nitrate nitrite phosphate ammonia all at zero. Btw it's a 55 gallon reef tank [IMG]

anthias need to be feed 3 times a day, and usually are hi maitanence fish.

small tangs are a hit or a miss, I really doubt you clown would mess with a tang tho.

rare wrasses are in the same boat as the tangs. And wrasses do hide alot if scared.

have you noticed alot of aggression?

I was going to post the same type of question - I have not lost any fish (lucky me) but the female clown has suddenly become very aggressive. My bangi cardinal who had carved himself a nice area is getting chased all around the tank - and my chromis are hiding or dodging the pair all day. The sailfin and benny are fine and just go about there day.

The male has been acting wierd by carving out a hole in the sand as the female guards the torch coral.

I am thinking of splitting the pair up. Is this wise and will it have any negative effects?
    they are fire clowns

If they're hosting an anemone or coral, they have a decent chance of going into aggressive mode.

Oh mine use to all the time - till I had food in my hand - now every time I put my hands in they look for food. They are agressive to say the least.

Has anyone split up a pair of clowns and noticed a change in attitude?
