Can over dosing Calcium cause your water to turn cloudy?

10% twice a week would be my limit.

 

If you tank is cycled, you can do a couple small water changes. That should help it clear up.

 

By small do you mean 5 gallons or under that?

Sorry for being so specific but I have been trying my hardest to do everything right this time around and now I did something completely wrong...its kinda bumming me out.

 

As I posted above 10% of the water, twice a week should be good. Just make sure to watch those params.

Don't stress about the bungle. These things happen. What is important is that nothing was harmed and that you learned from this.

Depends on the size of your tank, I'd give it a two weeks or so. Could be sooner.

 

I've got a 29 gallon.

 

I just did a 4 gallon water change and I see no difference...I am being very patient with this tank believe me but my last tank turned cloudy because my stupid LFS told me to dose purple up everyday and it NEVER turned clear. I tore the thing down because I had almost everything die and I wanted new substrate and to do everything right....

The biggest thing for my right now is the have clear, clean water and it seems like I've screwed myself for good now...
