Can powerheads do a quite increase in water temperature ?

    Can powerheads do a quite increase in water temperature ?
    i am running a strong internal powerhead for my top filter but my tank is overheating this days cause hot weather begins Temp become =29 C

    you can find alot of charts on the amount of entropy a certain powerhead adds to a system. The answer is yes, return pumps and powerheads to add a little bit of heat.

    if my temp starts rising drastically, the culprit tends to be a malfunctioning powerhead or pump.

    i think of doing a water bath for the large powerhead in a plastic container and put on the tank water surface ... to separate the pump from the tank water ..... can this work ??

    Seems like the warm weather is your problem,try using a small fan and direct it's flow across the water surface.It will increase evaporation but should help with your temp problem.
