The stuff that is left behind is hard like part of the rock. I will try to get a better pick I will try picking up the rock and getting it closer to the top of the water

I don't think I can take it off without hurting it. It seems to have made it's self part of the rock.

When I moved the rock it pulled in it's feelers and I think it secreted a white thick substance, and after I put the rock back it sucked it back in ( Twilight Zone Stuff ) LOL ;D :-/

Hmmm....I'm not sure about the cucumber - the description of having feelers keeps leading me to nudibranch of some sort. I'll keep looking. If you can get a better photo of it (the pic you just put up helped a little) that would be great. One more question (for this reply box - lol) are the feelers - 2 stalks, or are they feathery looking?

Well, I am ( almost ) convinced that from the evidence that it is a cucumber.

Hard discharge, retracting tenticles, white discharge ( defencive)

    John :)

the feelers are 2 stalks yes. As for the strand like a spider web, That may have been the white stuff it secreted and then sucked back in, I don't know.

This thing moves along very slow about 1/4" a day if that and it leaves behind that hard shell like stuff that it looks like it is part of.
