i bought these over the last 5 months but im not actually sure of there names and really need to get some info about them so they dont go and die on me :-[
1 image there has 3 small corels in it 1 of them is a mushroom that died after a heat wave we had i didnt want to loose the small corel onthe same rock so i ripped of the dead mushroom left about 1 inch of the stump put it back in the tank and to my surprise its slowely growing back

the little orange polyp corel has come out propperlly once in about 4 months i was told to put it in a semi cave kinda spot but that hasnt helped im almost sure its the water im working on getting my nitrates down at the moment

    cheers in advance

Boy, you sure picked some toughies :) The first I'm not too sure of but looks to be some kind of stick polyp. I'll look around the net for pics of similar corals later today. The second is a very "sick" sun coral. They need to be target fed almost daily. The third looks like a goniopora or an alveopora, both somewhat difficult to keep due to their feeding requirements. 3rd pic I see some xenia at the top of the pic. 4th picture is some kind of LPS coral but I'm not sure what kind. Could be a torch or a frogspawn. Can you take a pic of its skeleton?

i did some research and found a site to identify some of the corels i have
1st pic i dont know what it is called exactly buy dam its a nice peice!;D
2nd pic is a sun corel its not to happy cos i didnt realize it needs to be target fed
3rd pic looks more like a golf ball corel according to the page i found the only thing i dont understand with it is golf ball corels have a roundish shape skeliton? this 1 is more of a cone shape

pic 4 is 3 different corals on there 1 is a toadstall the 1 in the top left
the other 2 im not sure about still im quite sure i dont have a xenia, they are on like a stalk arent they? i could be wrong these corals skelitons are all imbedded in the rock
the last pic im not sure what that is the skeleton is hard and quite large pic is attached

Im almost thinking its not a duncan...there at least 30 a head EVERYWHERE. I'd think he'd remember that one :p

3rd is goni or alevopora (cant see how many tips), 4th looks like xenia and some zoos.

I've seen the coral in that first pic but only when I visited a friend in Australia so it's possibly a native species, one that we'll never see for sale here in the states.

I thought that it was illegal to export/import corals from Australia?
