Can someone help me? I'm about to throw this skimmer out the window...

Did it come with the Rio pump or the mag drive 3?

 

If it came with the Rio, you are not suppose to use the venturi, if its the mag drive you are suppose to use it.

 

It says to just put the screw back in far enough to seal the port, a few drops escaping is okay and normal,
P.S. I just downloaded the user manual, thats where I'm getting this stuff lol

Alright I am using the Maji Jet 1200.

I'm mixing a large amount of salt water now in a rubbermaid to start testing this skimmer in so I can try everything that you suggest.

 

Okay lol that wasn't an option in the manual so sorry I may be of no more use, other than to suggest phoning technical support tomorrow lol.

I would suggest just cleaning it very well, and put it all back together. Then just let it break in and see if that helps. Are you sure you have everything hooked up how it's supposed to? I know it's not that hard, but maybe your missing something your not noticing.

 

Right now I have it running on a rubbermaid full of salt water after cleaning it very well. Does it matter if the skimmer is at an angle or not? I have the salinity inside set at 1.204

 

How much of an angle are we talking? They will not work properly if they are not level, at least that would be my understanding.

Maybe it was from me tightening and cleaning it but now its producing a tiny bit of foam! The setting in on the lowest it can go with the cup but still success!

Should I leave it running on the rubbermaid tonight just to let it break in a little or go ahead and transfer it over?

 

I would transfer it over and see what it does, if it foams up your in luck.
