To have the saltwater mixing in the brute bin to be the same temperature as the tank water. I have to admit, I don't heat my water right now, I get it from the shop and just dump it in there for a WC. :-[

I'm getting my RO/DI setup with 2 brute bins for RODI and salt mixing.

So, can someone else assure her that a heater is not going to be bad to leave plugged in while mixing saltwater.

I will show her this later, so she can finally believe me that it's ok.

    Thank you! ;D

    100% fine.

It's why the heater was built and labeled "submersible heater".

I've been heating my make-up water while mixing for 39 years with no issues yet. Maybe the problems start after 40? :D

    Not an issue.

I mix my salt usually for 24 hours and it will get to room temp or even hotter with the few pumps I have in mixing Tank. So I never needed to heat my mix tank.

Nonetheless SAFE to leave heater in. I have 2 submersibles in my sump for years and no issues.

very safe. It really is no different than having the heater in the tank. That it's not glass does not make a difference, the heater would not ever heat high enough to melt anything - HTH.
