    Hi,

It's been a little over 3 weeks that I've had my tank up and running. I have gone through diatom phase and have control it with my crew. Now I am seeing green like hairy stuff (maybe Green Alage not sure) on my tank glass and corner overflow. It started off as brown hairs on the overflow and now looking more green now. On the glass it was definitely brown diatoms and now it looks like a mix a green, brown and reddish film.

you will always have diatoms on your glass. Thats why they make the float scrapers you live in your tank.

I'd scrape it but if you wanted to leave it for a day or two now and then your snails would thank you!

I agree. Scraping is the only effective way to go. You can let your snails have a nice meal but they will leave a lot left.
