I filled my 20 gal with tap water using a conditioner(now doing all water changes and top offs with ro/di)my seaclone hasn't worked right since, it foams over, makes millions of bubbles, and i can't get control of it.I know there a p.o.s.,but had it on 2 other tanks and it works fine,It sat for about 3 months till i started this tank and haven't been able to even come close to getting it working right,i'm wondering if the conditioner is what's driving my junk skimmer nuts??:confused::confused: There is a half inch of foam ontop of the water surface, how can i correct this if thats the problem?

Yes, water conditioners add to the surface tension of the water. So your skimmer will go nuts for awhile. Is should calm down eventually.

I would dump it down the drain. As long as you keep putting it back in the tank your skimmer will continue to go nuts.
