well i mean, this is what i really want and im happy i finally found something that i can keep some kind of coral in. ill go for the 12 dimmable tho. whats the difference between the ultra premium DIY kits and the solderless kits? looks like the same thing but the ultra premium is cheaper...?

haha ok its fine. can i get ur opinion on this?: is 800 gph too much flow in a 10 gallon tank? i dont have that, but i saw a cheap one and was wondering if it would be too much flow. sounds like it is.

I've been told your flow should be 30-50 times tank volume, with 50 times being for sps. I would say that's twice as much as you need. IME too much flow causes sand to constantly stir and or create divits.

Solderless, you don't need to solder anything together. For flow, 30-50 would be more for a mixed SPS reef IMO. Corals such as frogspawn will tolerate it, but will do better with less. More flow will help keep dead spots down though. However, IME, for frogspawn and other euphyllia (hammer, torch etc..), I find they are more happy and open up more around 20x turnover.

Alright awesome thanks. Would this led system be good for growing lps also? 12 LEDs DIY kit
It's alot cheaper than the rapidled but uses bridgelux LEDs instead of Cree and at 3 watts.
