So I was wondering today, because my ph was at like 7.6 if I can dose into my skimmer that way chemicals slowly enter the tank. I accidentally got some reef buffer on a hammer before and it wasn't to happy for like a week. and this would apply to dosing the two part calcium and alk as well. thanks!!

The skimmer would probably pull some of what you dose before it can fully dissolve into the water.

Yeah I don't think that would be real effective. Is your buffer the powder kind?

do you dissolve the buffer in water first? i do that, and add it close to my return , so none would be taken in by the skimmer.

yea its powder and I mix it with water. But its only a ten so I get worried about just dumping it in. Usually I just pour it on my hob filter, and all thats in there is some phosban and carbon.
