Well I am not sure about the DI side. I know it won't taste good because it will just taste like carbon. But I had RO water and the exerpiment9s) were/was about RO water.

One thing to know though is that you should not store DI water in the pressurised tank(s) you often see with the RO systems. RO water is fine - that's what it is meant to be used for. But the DI can cause a build-up within the tank, which is not good.

Do you want RO water for your house and RODI for your tank? That is what I am going to do...you will have to divert the RO line so it splits, using a "Y" fitting with to valves. One line will got from the RO output to your tank, to your facet. The other RO line will go to the DI resin cartridge, to be used for the aquarium. You do not have to use DI for the aquarium, but it is purer than just RO, so that is why it is the most recommended and considered to be 'the best."

RO water tastes great! I don't really know how to explain this but RO/DI water doesn't taste "wet".

Can you elaborate here? I think I understand what you're getting at, but I could be way off.

Most things we ingest are bad in some shape or form. It all depends on percent that is in your daily nutrient intake.
