can you have mangroves fully submerged?

    well i just got 12 mangroves from reefcleaners but never really thought the most important thing... placement.

    i thought they would look nice in my DT since ive heard people putting them on their displays. but what i didnt think about is whether they can be fully submerged or not..

    hence the question.. thanks for the help

    From what I have heard from john at RC they need the tops out of water. But I have none so I cant be 100% on that.

    i believe only black mangroves can be fully submerged

    rubber band them to your heater with just the tops out of water. thats what i did and in three weeks they were rooting. good luck.

    you could also use egg crate and just stick them in there.
