Can you over feed a anemone??

    Just curious because i went to put half a cube of mysis shrimp into my tank, and the PH blew it down, and the anemone caught it, and is like swallowing it whole.....

    i hope thats not bad :cry:

    from my understanding the anemone will probably eject whatever food it cant handle in brown slimy goo which will kind of look like when it excretes poop...how big is the anemone, it might not be too much...however you can feed it too often, most people often recommend once every 7-14 days and some people goes as far 21-28 days

    IMOPE, it will be fine. Yes they can be overfed, but usually will regurgitate the excess after a day or two. Overfeeding repeatedly will eventually start causing stress.

    It will most likely spit out what it can't eat. You can feed then something that is too large. I wouldn't feed the anemone for a week or so now.

    its about 3 1/2 inch in diameter, the foot is prolly about 1 1/2 inch big

    Ya normally it just eats what ever it catches in the air, but this time he caught the entire thing..

    itll probably be fine just make sure to keep up with a steady feeding schedule with your anemone
