i really dont want to see the overflow box and figured painting it with rusolium or somthing reef safe would be kinda hiding it, i dont feel like drilling my tank (im not really comfortable on the idea of it) or should i just leave the overflow alone

If it's inside the tank, paint it with krylon fusion.

AND, whatever you paint it with thats safe, it will be covered in corrailline after so many mionths anyways.

I painted my DIY intank overflows with Krylon Fusion- I used Black, and now it looks like the back wall, covered in corrailline (sp?).

+1 with using Krylon Fusion and if you go a color you can also use Krylon Fusion UV sealer on after. Really nice stuff and gives a glass finish

This is white KF with the sealer on one of my MO FLOW outlets...fyi sealer is not needed KF is a great stand alone paint i use the sealer to hold color and add a extra UV under MH lighting.

FYI to make Rustoleum rust proof they add Chromium to the paint and that is a heavy metal and I would stay away from that!
