Can you put a diamond goby in a 45 gallon aquarium?

    Just woundering if my new tank will be able to keep one? they are my favorite fish and if I can keep one successfully that would be sweet.

    You can, but a number of people find that in a tank that isn't very well established and doesn't have a large sandbed their diamond gobies waste away (over the course of months or a year, so be careful of success stories that are not over the course of years) because they may not accept frozen/prepared foods and starve.

    I would tend to say unless you know the fish is eating prepared foods, or you're confident enough in your ability to get it to accept prepared foods I would avoid it because I don't think your tank has enough of a sandbed footprint.

    Ultimately I would just make sure and do some research on what other people have done to keep them successfully.

    Ask the lfs to feed it to see if it will eat and have a lid, they will go carpet surfing otherwise

    I know they seem to like blood worms. Which is a problem in itself, as bloodworms float. you have to get that net as low as possible or use a syringe + long tube to get it to the bottom so he can grab some before it floats up.
