Ok so here's the story leading up to this ?
So I was doing a "mini hurricane" ( moving stuff lightly) with water movement and my ultra green candy canes ( ultra IMO ) (they're bright !) anyways as I'm doin this my green candy canes fell out their little spot they love, as I tried to put them back I pushed a bit too hard and the skeleton snapped and two of the four heads popped off ( basically the easiest frag ever ! Lol, so I propped the two on the short skeleton into a piece I thought good, well after bout an hour I noticed on the side a kinda dark reddish/black area on the head !
    ? Is
Is this a sign of damage ?
If so what might be done
Is this the beginning of the end of the said head ?
    Just asking some ?'s
    Thanks
    Randy

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Welcome to 3reef Randy,

Probably too soon to tell one way or the other, LPS can take a good amount of damage and if parameters are good make a full recovery.

If it does not look better it next day please post an image.

    I will!
Now the other side of the frag has its tentacles out and that's the first time in a mo I've seen that ! Maybe it was a good thing ? Lol
    Thank you

Ok so since last I posted it has regained consciousness lol
It is healthy but my purple candy cane has indeed lost 2 heads:(
But now that I've trimmed off the dead it is doing better than when all 3 were together !

That is what your basically supposed to do, most sps are like that. Luckily. I have peeled half a candy cane off its skeleton on accident and it grew back as well. Took a while though.
